Integrating Shopify with Comity allows you to see updates from your online store in your news and quickly create social media posts from your Shopify dashboard.
What is Shopify?
Shopify is an effective eCommerce website builder that allows merchants to design, develop, market, and sell any type of goods to consumers around the world.
You can install Comity to your online store from Shopify App Store.
Make sure you are logged in to the correct workspace in Comity before you install it to your online store.
If you sign up to Comity for the first time via the Shopify App Store, your monthly billing will be processed by Shopify. The cost of Comity will be reflected on your monthly Shopify invoice.
Upon installation Comity will automatically generate a user account and business workspace.
In case you remove Comity from your Shopify store, any billing for this business workspace will automatically stop and all information will automatically be deleted, except your user account.
Scheduling Post from Shopify News
1. Go to the "News" feed in your Comity dashboard.
2. Click "Shopify" in the left sidebar, which will filter the feed to display news from your Shopify account.
3. Click the "Share" button on the news you want to create a post.
4. Post Editor will automatically capture the link for this news.
5. You can use the "Add Shortcut" icon to insert information about the news and get assistance to generate a post.
Scheduling Post from Shopify Dashboard
When you install Comity, sharing functionality will be added to your Shopify Admin dashboard. You can create posts about products, collections, blogs, articles, and pages anytime.
Check the "More actions" dropdown menu in your Shopify dashboard. You will see the "Share on Social Media" link for Comity. These links will work as if you are sharing a Shopify update from your Comity dashboard.
Marketing Campaigns in Shopify
When you share a Shopify news/suggestion, Comity will create a marketing event in your Shopify store. This will allow you to easily measure the effect of this social activity to your business. You can learn more about "Creating Marketing Campaings in Shopify".
Comity will only check for product & collection changes, discount coupons & content updates in your blog to display in your news.
If you find the news suggestion not worth to share on social media, you can click "Dismiss" to remove it from your feed. You can also clear the entire feed by clicking "Dismiss all" button anytime.
Comity does not backup any news data and the news that is older than 30 days will automatically be deleted even if you do not dismiss them.
1. Go to the "Accounts" settings page.
2. Find Shopify under Integrations list and click "Remove".
